Extra tarmac laid on Thursday 30th May. Full corner added at Race control end, straight straightened and lengthened and "pit area" filled in. We will concrete the edges and grass / astroturf the run-off areas. Looks good.

Some concrete has been laid around the rostrum / race control part of the track. It needs finishing but racing can begin soon.

The rostrum for the on-road track has been started. The stairs, slope and roof will be added soon. We are adding the concrete edges to part of the track this week end. This should allow racing to start soon.

After trying track it was realised that the straight needed to be straighter and longer. There is space and below is an impression of how it will look. There is no rush and the contractor will not be free until after Easter. We will proceed with the rostrum and pits until then. 
The toilet block has been moved to accommodate the track changes and a container has been put on the asphalt area beyond the straight.

There has been much discussion about the position of the rostrum. There were some advantages to having it on top of the container but on balance the original idea of the rostrum being on the banking on the south side wins. The impression below gives an idea of the rostrum and the pit lane infront of it. There will be tables under the rostrum and further areas to the left of the rostrum near race control.

Tarmac was laid on 19th February. Weather was good and rain didn't come until after the track had been laid. The track is not ready for use yet. We have to put in concrete kerbing to protect edges. This will be done this next weekend. (nb delayed until final layout complete)

Prior to the tarmac being laid we have put a finer bedding course outlining the track. Weather permitting we will have the tarmac laid on 18th Feb.

The base layer has been laid and the 2 Portacabins are in position. We are getting topsoil laid on the off-road track area to start making that track and are looking at getting the on-road track laid. We are close to arranging a very good deal with a Tarmac company.
